Barn Doors

Good Morning Friends.
The weather was perfect to work on our barn doors.
It all started with this old dirty barn wood.
We wire brushed it all.

Then power washed the fronts and back.
Lots of work.
Our hands are filled with splinters.

Beautiful beautiful old barn wood I love you.

Hey that's me.
The barn door builder helper.

On Sunday my Carpenter man began the building of the doors.
Good thing he works cheap and is cute.
Burgers and ice cream.
 I can handle that.
(a couple of kisses too :)

Let me just say I am HAPPY.
They are old, rustic and perfectly wonderful.
We still need to find one more set of old barn door rollers, put on the finish and add old hardware.

All of our doors are built.
Great job Papa John .
I love my doors.
I can't wait till they are finished and up to show you more.

I am very thankful for a hubby that listens to my ideas
and helps me fulfill them.
(now if he will only help me chain the floor and add a thick lacquer)

Woolie Hugs & Barn Door JOY!

No wood is more beautiful than the barnwood. The doors will be more than worth all the work that went in to them. Lovely.

Love those. I want a door like that in place of my storm door. Hopefully the worlds best son in law will do that this summer if it doesn't sell. I have to tell you I thought of you a while ago. I had to run over to Powell(3miles) and get Dasko food. He has allergies and can only eat a certain food. SA=almon and potato.Any way over at the crossroads was a flock of guieneas.Never saw them before. Even though I am afraid of feathers and fowl, I enjoy seeing them I worried a bit about these as they were in the road at the bottom of a hill that car driver very fast on.They were working really hard.

Trace, I think the doors are going to be beautiful. Good choice in your design. Sometimes things are so much nicer when you do the work yourself. My husband has said that for years. I can't wait to see them up and finished. good going, you guys.
