Whole Lotta Love #13

Good Morning Friends.
It has been so much fun doing this Whole Lotta Love with Cindi of Cindi's Country Corner.
I've been waiting till today to share my Whole Lotta Love for my precious Grandmother "Lena Mae"
It is so hard to believe she has been gone now for almost nine years.
There is not a day that goes by I don't think of her.
I am the person I am today because of her and my Aunt Ne.
My Gram had the biggest heart and shared all she had.
She had a true gift of hospitality and loved to cook for others.
And boy could she cook.
She shared many of her talents with me.
My favorite was how to make a good pie crust from scratch.
She also loved to sew and make gifts for us all for Christmas.
Her other passion was her garden.
A week or so before she passed away I found her up on her hill in her garden where she was not supposed to be.
Sneaky garden girl even at 82.
 Always a country girl.

In the winter time she continued her love for gardening by
bringing in some of her plants.
Many of them were kept in her bedroom.
She had geraniums to peppers and many others.
When she passed away this african violet was in a little deli cup in
her kitchen window.
I took it home and look at it today.
Papa John thinks I'm silly, but I believe all these blooms
are her way of saying Happy Birthday Tracey.
(very rarely does it not have blooms)
Gram had many loves.
Sewing, cooking, gardening, family and deep love for the Lord.
She sure blessed our Family with many treasured gifts.
(especially my treasured button love memory)
Thank you Gram for sharing the gift of loving and creating
with my hands.

A Whole Lotta Woolie Love & JOY

(Happy Woolie Wednesday!)
I recently won the sweet little prim angel on the right hand
side from Jean at Prim Crafts.
She is so sweet.
Thank you Jean!

Love your post today and I know that your grandma did too!! I was very close to my grandma on my mom's side of the family and I miss her so much everyday. She is the one that gave me my love for making cookies and cakes with my grandkids, because that was something very special that I always did with her.
hugs,
Cindy

Sending my friendship love your way. The violet is so, so sweet. It can't be a coincidence that it has bloomed at your birthday!
I still think of my Grandma every day, and she passed away 41 years ago.
