Tuesday

Good Tuesday Morning Friends!
Yesterday I went on a little road trip to East Earl and Blue Ball ,Pa.
We also stopped in a little Antique Shop where I found this vintage table runner and Roo.

My daughter, granny boy and I also went to breakfast at the Shady Maple Smorgasbord.
Oh my what a spread.
I was good no bread or sugar. (15days!)
I've lost 10 lbs.!!

Granny Boy had hash browns, grapes and donuts. :)
He was soo good all day!

I had made a small list of some things I wanted to buy.
And one of the things on my list was a prim bunny. This little sweetie was perfect.
Her little stitchery says. "My Bunny I done my best!"
Another was some prim eggs, but I wasn't able to find any I liked.
(anyone making any?)

However the main reason for the trip was for these yummy homespuns.
The Flower and Craft Warehouse truly has the best selection of homespuns.

Just love all these different colors and patterns. It was a very good fabric shopping day!
Papa John wanted to know how the fabric shopping went?
Duh? Great!

A week or so ago Lisa from the Moonlight stitch asked me if I wanted to do a swap for this awesome vintage chicken. She said she couldn't find a spot for it and sent me a picture.
Well be still my heart I love Chickens and Roo's!!
I fell in love. She also sent me a few other treasures. Ive already used a few pieces of the fabric.
You rock Lisa, that is one cool chippy vintage hen.
What great blog friends we are all blessed with!
Welcome new Friends! I love new Friends!

Woolie Love, Joyful Stitches & Hugs to you all!

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from our Heavenly Father.

  9. Trace ~You must have been singing your little heart out!!!
    Such wonderful treasures you found!
Awesome chicken nester from Lisa too!
You are so talented you could prim up some papermache eggs in no time. They are so easy peasy.
Get some papermache eggs paint them in any colors you like, lightly sand some of the paint off and wash them with some dupluted brown paint. I made some last year and they were a big hit.
    Have a wonderful day!
    Prim Blessings

  11. Hello Trace.
I Love your new Roo and vintage table runner.
Sweet fabric you found, and that little prim bunny is adorable!
Love your Vintage chicken from lisa. that will fit right in with your collection.
I have done the paper mache eggs were you paint, sand and stain them to prim them up. I've also done some plastic ones and mod podged dictionary pages, sheet music or vintage book pages to them. You just tear them or cut them into strips, coffee stain them to age them then mod podge them to the eggs.
I've tried sewing some, but with my skills, they didn't turn out to good, Lol! Enjoy your day!

  12. Good evening Trace. Love the bunny and all the fabric you found. Of course I love the rooster and vintage fabric and the hen you swapped for is quite nice.
I have been thinking of making some fabric eggs myself before Easter once I get my stitching projects done.
With all that fabric, you can make some wonderful ones too.
    Enjoy your evening
