Happy Ground Hog's Day!
Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. Six more weeks of winter. :)
Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. Six more weeks of winter. :)
Welcome to my neighborhood. What a beautiful morning.
A little poem to share from Emily Dickinson
Will There Really Be a Morning?
Will there really be a "Morning"?
Is there such a thing as "Day"?
Could I
see it from the mountains
If I were as tall as they?
Has it feet like
Water lilies?
Has it feathers like a Bird?
Is it brought from famous
countries
Of which I have never heard?
Oh some Scholar! Oh some
Sailor!
Oh some Wise Men from the skies!
Please to tell a little
Pilgrim
Where the place called "Morning" lies!

Happy Stitching Day!!
May Your Day Be Filled with Woolie Love & Joyful Stitches
Make a JOYFUL noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with Singing!
Psalm 100:1-2

I watched it live on tv! So funny. Have a wonderful day Trace!
ReplyDeleteYay! So happy Phil saw his shadow..smile..Now old man winter needs to blow in for a visit.Hugs!~Amy
ReplyDeleteLovely poem : ) I don't know about Phil but Gracie, the groundhog who lives underneath a little grouping of trees in our front yard, has been roaming about for at least the past 2 weeks! Thinking of Phil makes me think of the movie Groundhog Day ... a wonderful funny movie! I think I'll ask John to get it out so we can watch it later : ) Blessings, Shirlee
ReplyDeleteThat poor ole guy...of course he wants to sleep some more after being dragged out of his hole! I figured we weren't done with winter yet...February and March can certainly pack a punch. Enjoy your day Trace - Blessings
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo Trace-wish you'd had more of an influence on Phil though-being that you're neighbors!! Oh well-so far the winter has been pretty easy on us-just that awful ice that's tricky! Have a beautiful day!!~~Rain
ReplyDeleteWe haven't even had winter yet, just a couple of days of snow, and some frigid nights. The ground hogs over across the river are sun bathing, 50 degrees this morning. Ours on the shady side of the mountain are down by the water feasting on mosquitoes (yes, really!). Think I'll stay here and read a blog! Have a great one!
ReplyDeletevery sweet poem..and very sweet post too..

ReplyDeleteI love Emily Dickinson poems! Such a great one! I love that picture too. Have a great day stitching. Wishing I could do the same but this chick has lots of homework before my 7pm class tonight. YUCK.
ReplyDeleteWe've not had enough Winter yet. Stupid snake! Have a nice day Trace.
ReplyDeleteGood day Trace. I totally forgot that today is Groundhog day. The farmer's almanac just might be right about Feb and March for snow possibilities.
ReplyDeleteWe really need some cold weather to kill the germs and keep the flea and tick population down for this summer. Well, I am on lunch break at work and my hour is running out.
Happy stitching today.
