Good Monday Morning Friends!
Well my weekend did not go quite as planned.
Papa John was sick once again but this time with a head and chest cold.
And on his birthday. (poor Papa)
So I got to take care of him and STITCH.
So I started playing around with some prim woolie snowman heads on my lap quilt.
I kinda really like them, but then I started thinking are they to much?
So before I stitched them on I thought I would ask my friends for their opinion.
Very easy.With or without??
I now have three projects going on so I am hoping to finish this hand tied lap quilt so I
can continue working on some fun Crow-Hooky!
Hope your weekend was a good one.
Filled with lots of stitches.

I cannot count my day complete ,
Til needle, thread and fabric meet.

Happy bday to Papa, hope he gets well soon! If the lap quilt is made of flannel, or definitely for winter only use, I'd add the cute faces ;). Have a great day in the Lord, Pat
ReplyDeleteGood morning Trace. Glad to see that your lap quilt is almost done. I like the snowman touches, adds a little fun to the quilt. Are you going to display your quilt in any way? Sorry to hear that your Mr. was sick yesterday. I brought out some of my crochet stuff and tried to keep busy yesterday to get my mind in gear. I don't know what It will be, maybe a scarf or a small throw.
ReplyDeleteKeep the snowmen.

Get well wishes extended to Papa John. Poor thing to not feel well on his birthday. Love the lap quilt. I agree with Pat. If you are going to use it for the winter months only, the snowmen faces will be a cute addition. If however you wish to leave it out for the cooler mornings of spring, then I would not add the snowmen. They would limit the time you would want to use it. Hope you have a wonderful Monday my friend. Going to be close to 70 here today with on and off again rain. Cooler temps on the way for the weekend.

Please tell Papa John to get well soon. I had the head and chest cold lst week and did have a fever with it and now our youngest son(17) has it but Mr. Hillcrest my husband has not gotten it yet!
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!

ReplyDeleteI say no. I think you're needing some real snowmen but not on the pretty quilt. Sending healing vibes to Papa John.
ReplyDeleteHope Papa John gets better soon!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Betty, which ever way you like it best!
That is all that matters.
Either way ... It sure is a beautiful quilt.
Love the colors!

Aww..hope Papa John is feeling better today. I think the snowmen lend a touch of WHIMZIE to the quilt...and I like them!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day sweetie!
I love the added snowmen. I hope the sickies, leave your home soon.
ReplyDeleteSince the fabric has snowmen and it is a winter lap quilt. . . .my vote is save their heads. . sew 'em on! It's like bread 7 butter. Like peanut butter & jam. Like needle & thread. Like Papa John & Granny Trace!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!!!
I vote for! They are really cute!
ReplyDeleteHope your nubs is feeling better!

ReplyDeletePoor Papa John :( When it comes to those precious snowmen... i love love love them there! Very cute and different! You have many many quilts and this is a new cute way to spice it up. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Trace!! So sorry to hear about John. But I know you treated him like a King anyways. I love Proverbs 31. I think your snowmen are adorable on your lap quilt. It's kinda like your signature on your quilt. Also stop by my blog I posted about you!! Let me know what ya think!! Love, XO Fran.
ReplyDeleteLord, love his heart, hope he feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteI like the snowmen, any way to tie them on too? So you could remove them later on if you wanted the quilt out longer. Just a thought!
I love the snowmen on the quilt. It is fun when little touches are added to a project, you share a little more of yourself. I hope your week is a good one.
ReplyDeleteWithout.
ReplyDeleteAloha Trace! So sorry your hubster is not feeling well, and pray He heals soon! So my vote on the quilt top would be without. For me, the simplicity of the fabric is what draws me to a quilt, but do what you love! have fun with your crow hooky!!!!
ReplyDeleteI Love the snowman touches.
ReplyDeleteHope your man is feeling better soon!
Hi, Trace - if you put the snowmen in the ticking border I think that would look good.
ReplyDeleteSorry hubba is sick, I hope he still managed to have a happy birthday.
Hugs,
Susan
