Happy New Year's Day!
Every year as the new year approaches I think about my life.
About the many things I would like to change.
And then I started thinking instead of the negative things what was something positive.
And I thought of my word.
(((( JOY ))))
I chose to make this word mine last year. To instead of feeling down to look up.
Grow and seek His JOY!!
So again this year. There are no New Years resolutions. No negatives.
Just another step towards my goal of more JOY!!
To keep feeding the seed in my heart.
Sharing kindness and growing.
And most of all thanking HIM for all of you!
The more I Thank Him the more gifts I receive.
Thank you Treasured Gifts.
Look what I've been getting in the mail all week.
Anyone else dream gardening.
How about you?
I am a winter girl.
I am still praying for a good winters storm,
but my hands are itching to dig in the dirt too.
YOU GROW GIRLS!
Woolie Love & JOY

For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise To spring up before all the nations.

ReplyDeleteWe might be kindred spirits :)
ReplyDeleteI love winter (except the driving in it part), but I do love the garden as well.
I hope you find much joy in the coming year!
Good morning Trace. I too love winter when I can get some unfinished projects done. I have dug out a quilt to finish quilting in hopes of getting it done. After cleaning out my craft closet with finding alot of unfinished projects, now is the time. I do love to be outside though when the weather is nice, just planting the garden and enjoying the sunshine.

Hi, Trace,
ReplyDeleteI wish my catalogs would get here. Probably the
different planting zones. I love to plan things
out and look at all of the beautiful flowers.
We'll be tucked in for a while but in a few
months, tada!
Wishing you a blessed day,
Susan

haven't gotten any gardening catologs..but don't need them..the dandilions and primroses are still blooming around here..its been so mild that even some of the trees haven't lost their leaves yet..today felt like spring..absolutely gorgeous..took a 4 mile walk after church..it was glorious.:) hope your new year is off to a great start.:)
ReplyDeleteHello - Your eternal optimism is such a gift to us all and certainly appreciated here more than you know......I too, am waiting for the big "snow" to hit our area. I do my best sewing/quilting in the cold weather and have not done as much this year due to the mildness of this season. When gardening season comes, I like you, enjoy planting and then watching His miracles unfold!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you - keep up the good work!
Whoo hoo - nothing like seed catalogs to get us thinking about Spring & Summer! I think you have a great idea for the new year - no negatives! Hugs and Happy New Year Trace!
