Friday Chicken Love

Good Chicken Friday Friends!

This post is filled with some of my favorite Chicken things.
The top fella is my fav from my pal Kathy.
He reminds me of BIG JOE

He is my biggest Roo.  He bosses everyone around but Spike the guinea.

He tried but Spike put him in his place.

Is it wrong to name my fake Chickens?
She just looks like a Ruby to me. :)

Many were bought for me.
I have many sizes.

Some I bought at antique stores and thrift.
For less than a dollar.

They all are sweet little treasures to me.

Made of wood, glass, porcelain and yarn.

Hey Snowphia is not a chicken. However she likes to eat chicken. Mean girl.

Many I use. Some for coffee, tea and Papa John's cookies.

 My newest thrift store one.
Stinkin cute.
Lea thinks he should be a pin cushion.
I love that idea.

This chubby hen holds granny kids treats.
She was a Christmas gift from Cole a couple of years ago.
And another one of my favorites.

This one I use all the time and was a gift from a good friend Shirlee.
Love, love, love..

These pretties I found at TJMAX yesterday for my eggs. Love the turquoise blue.
I am loving red and turquoise blue together.

This cool one I can bake in.
Yummo brownies with chocolate chips and sprinkles.
Sprinkles just make everything pretty.

I just made this new runner. Chickens ,chickens everywhere.

And this real chicken girl is still living in my laundry room .
Primmie Rose is getting better everyday and will hopefully move back outside this
weekend with her family.
I'm thinking she is really going to miss the oatmeal for breakfast and cookie treats.

Love your chickies!! I also love those egg holders from TJ Maxx! And I agree with Lea that would be a great pin cushion especially as much as you sew!! Great runner too! Someone did ask you this but I didn't see your answer do you make the chicks in yur banner? And I love your Prim Angels on the side there. Have a good day I'm off to go with Sim. XO Love, Fran.

  16. Good evening Trace. I love all of your chicken decor. I have
some chicken and rooster items in my kitchen too. Some are old
and some are just whimsical, just because I like them. But today
was a sad day for my real chickens. Greta Sue the orange and black
americauna hen passed away today. I had noticed that she was keeping
to herself and moving slow. It was bitter cold
here the last two days and last night I noticed her trying to eat
and she didn't have the strength to lower her head in the pan.
I picked her up this morning and put her in the hen house when I saw her standing out in the cold all by herself. So I said my goodbye to her this morning before work because I just new that when I came home this evening she would be dead. Chickens can suddenly die for no reason or
they are sick and you don't know it. I buried two this past summer.
I know they are just chickens, but after caring for them day after day
you really do miss them when they are gone. My husband said it might be cheaper to just buy eggs instead of having the hens because feed has gone up in price. But I told him, no, I think I would miss having them.
Maybe at Easter we will get some baby chicks in hopes there are some hens in the bunch.
    Rest in Peace Greta Sue.
