Cookies & Such

 Happy Terrific Tuesday Friends!
Yesterday I made Papa John and the Granny's some cookies.
He cried when he looked inside the cookie jar and it was empty Sunday.
And of course he didn't even check it last night. All filled with yummy goodness.
These were very good.'

Oatmeal Chocolate Chips
************
3 cups packed brown sugar
2 cups butter softened
2 tsps. vanilla
2 eggs
4 cups quick cooking oats

3 cups flour

2 tsps. baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 bag of chocolate chips.

Preheat oven to 350. Mix sugar ,softened butter, vanilla and eggs. In another bowl mix oats, flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly add dry mix to wet. Mix well and add chips. I baked about 9 to 11 minutes. I don't like my cookies too brown. A bit under baked.. This is a double batch. EnJOY!

While I was baking I heard quite a load noise coming from the laundry room.
Yes Primmie Rose is all better.
She flew out and is walking all about the laundry room.
She rejoined the others last night in the coop.
I miss her this morning. And sharing the remainder of my oatmeal with her.
I hope the others were kind to her.

I know this is a bad photo. Blurry and the sun was so bright..
Can you find Granny Girl?
See all the cool treasures outside of the store.
What a fun day.
I love listening to Frank, Bing, Rosemary & Sammy while baking..
In aprons of course. :)
Woolie Love, JOY & Cookies!!

  7. I see you!!!! How cute is that Primmie Rose!!! I would love to bake cookies but right now I have to respect Sim and Kaitlin who are dieting!! So this morning with my coffee I had a cinnamon roll while they are work!! Oh shame on me!! But it was very good! Looks like you had a great day with your Granny Girl!! What a sweet smile she has!! I'm off to clean. I am having our church ladies circle here tonight. I am going to make a cheese ball later and trying hard to think of something else to make. It's very gloomy here today and the snow is already gone. Have a great day!! XO Love, Fran.

  8. Trace, have I shared with you that I am afraid of chickens? Don't know why, but with anything with feathers. Don't even want a feather quill.lol Isn't that weird for someone who married a crowe?

  11. Wow Trace, that looks like my kind of place. The cookies sound yummy. Leave it to you to post a great baking recipe while I am in a hotel suite. Have a 2 burner stove top, microwave, frig. but No oven. Do you think I would really cook while here anyway? Not this country girl. I am enjoying being pampered. Pamper yourself today and have a good one.
    Hugs,

  14. My cookie jar is filled with left over halloween candy, lol...It's all the yucky stuff no one wanted. I "claim" I can't bake cookies to put in there until the candy is gone. Which it never will be. HOWEVER your recipe...hmmm..I may have to dump the candy!! Lol...katie

  16. Good evening Trace. Love those cookies, wish I had some now.
I love oatmeal raisin. Glad to see Primmie Sue is feeling
better. She reminds me of one I had named Cindy Lou that
    passed away this past summer.
    Enjoy your evening.
