Tuesday's Treasures

Morning Sweet Friends.
I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite treasures.
My little pie and pastry keeper.
I've had it for about two years now.
Papa John and I found it in a little antique shop over the river.

One of my favorite things to do besides for sewing and gardening is baking.
I love to BAKE.
Especially pies.
Really anything apple or pumpkin.

(Pie is fine any ole time!)

I love old pie dishes.
I had a few but lately I have been lucky to find a few more to add to my collection.
(don't they fit nicely in my pie keeper :0)
They are crackled ,crazed,
some have stains and I love them best.
Oh the stories they hold.
The tables and families that enjoyed them.
The best part is not that I have six pumpkin
But that they all cost only a 1.00 or 2.00.
Now that is almost as fun as the treasure hunt.

Woolie PIE Joy!

I will praise the Lord God with a song and a thankful heart!
Psalm 69:30

Thank you Lord above that you forgive and fill my heart with a new song.
Even when I started my morning giving Papa John a twisted pop rocket for sing songing about donuts!

Green Pastures

Great are you Lord!!

Psalm 23 :1-3
The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still and restful waters.
He refreshes and restores my soul..

Wishing you a green pastures of peace.

Putting Up

Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within the reach of every hand.
-Mother Theresa

Morning Friends.
Do you know what this is?
All individually wrapped up with paper and love.

Yep it's my apples.
My Ne ,Uncle Bean and I went back up the mountains
and bought a few more bushels of apples.
Some for applesauce, hand pies and then of course my holiday pies.
"ThanksAPPLEpie Day" is right around the corner.
So I wrap each one in paper without bruise or blemish and place them in a tote or box.
Then I put them in a cold corner in my garage.
So my apples are put up for the winter.
Do you put up apples for the winter?
I remember my Gram storing them in her closet.
Boy that closet smelled good.

My home sure smells good when my crock-pot
 is filled with apples.
Don't forget.

* You can add 1/2 cup of brown sugar if you like, but we are off sugar till "ThanksAPPLEpie Day!"
This batch was the very best ever and no sugar!
We can do it.

There's an angel in my garden, who watches over me,
I know she smiles as I talk to God under my apple tree.

Afternoon Friends.
Sorry I've been missing ,but boy have I been busy.
Filled with laughter and new treasured memories.
Above is very happy photo of Papa John, Me, My Brother Larry & Sis Ana.
I can't begin to tell you how full my heart feels right now.
How wonderful it was to sit around my table laughing with my family.
Sharing a meal and telling old family stories.
And a big bonfire in the front field.
I am blessed with Family Love.

I sure love these guys more than I can ever say.
Family sure is what matters most.

Today is also my oldest daughter Nicole's Birthday.
She turned 30.
How did that happen I thought I was 30.

Fall & Family

Hey Friends.
Just a little Fall decorating I wanted to share.

Are you all decorated for Fall?

Take a peek in my cubbards.
Do you see all the things I've canned from my garden.
Oh my I love preserving.
It is so rewarding.
And makes me happy...

As well as my brother and sis in love
coming to visit.
We don't get to see each other as much as I would like, but
I am so very proud of the sacrifices he makes serving our Country.
He just got home from a year in Bahrain.
So we are gonna celebrate with
with a Family bonfire this weekend.

Shh wanna know a secret?
I am over the moon happy that my brother has been stationed here in Pa.
I can't remember the last time we lived in the same state.

Joy joy joy!

So no woolie projects to share today as I am preparing for their arrival.
Just a cute photo of my woolie lil brother. :)

With a Woolie Thankful Heart!
Granny T

Taking a lil break to make new treasured memories with my Family.

Morning Fall Friends.
As all my friends here know..
I just love pumpkins and oh mannie day isn't that one cool tractor !?!
I had to stop at Pumpkin Hill today to pick up some straw for my feathered friends.
They are right up in our little town.
I like to call them my neighbors as I stop there so much this time of year.
Truly a sweet family.

Another thing we do in the Fall is prepare for the cold Winter.
We love Fall and Winter.
And roaring fires to keep warm by.
Papa John splits, I load my wheel barrow and
stack on the porch.
I was pooped but the whole time I was thanking Him  for the wood to stack.
(Take that stupido propane company)
Papa John and I sure make a good team.
Achy knees and all.
We are blessed.

Friday night /date-night.
I just love love his face!

Woolie JOY in HIM

So do not fear I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Keep looking up!
