30 Years!!

Morning Friends.
Next week is our 30th Wedding Anniversary.
One of our lil traditions is planting trees to celebrate the year.
And this year we planted a " October Glory Red Maple."

My hubby loves trees.
Almost as much as me.
He has planted hundreds.
(and yep he has a hundred seedlings coming at the end of the month)
Happy Anniversary My Love!

We are leaving in two days for a get away to the Outer Banks.
So he was in a rush to get this monster in the ground.
It took us over three hours.
Our yard is a mess but we saved 600.00 doing it ourselves.
Good news is we didn't hurt each other.
He did apologize after for his gruffiness.
I forgive I want some treasures on our trip. :0)
(he didn't get a knuckle sandwich after all)

But that is what marriage is all about.
Loving each other and working hard through the good
and hard times.
We married really young and grew up together.
I am so blessed God not only gave me a hardworking husband,
 but my very best-friend.
(Who calls me Shoogie and still gives me goosebumps.)
Hey handsome..
I love you from the top of your beautiful bald head to the
bottom of your toes.
You are the Love of my Life!

Woolie Blessings & Love

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor;
for if they fall one will lift up the other.
But woe to him is alone when he falls and has not another
 to lift him up.
Again if two lie down together, then they have warmth; but how can one have warmth alone?
And though a man might prevail against him who is alone, two will withstand.
A threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Morning Friends.
Spring is here and things have been growing
around Turtle Tree Farms.
Our little seedlings are growing.
Tomaters, cukes and peppers too.

My  woolie crowhooky blankie.
So relaxing to snuggle under on a cold evening
with a cuppa coffee.
Its just keeps growing happiness and makes me smile when my head and heart are heavy.
I find its a perfect way to spend extra time with my Heavenly Dad.
Quiet prayers to the giver of peace and strength.

And then I like to listen to a lil Doris Day, Rosemary, Bing, Frankie,Louie and
good ole Nat.
(remember I like to sing..)

And last but not least three of my dearest blessings.
(wow have they grown)
My Granny Monsters.
Did we scare ya?
Oh how they make me laugh and bring me joy.
(We had a little opening day  baseball party.
Hot dogs, popcorn, cracker jacks and lots of goodies.
We are big Oriole fans!
Let's go O's!)

Father above I thank you for a brand new day, the peace I find only in you and my silly
Granny Monsters who keep me laughing.
(and so fill my heart with love)

Paint & Blessings

Morning Friends.
I am still painting and only dreaming of wool.
Painting did not go so well last week.
I spilt paint three times.
The last time I said many many bad words and cried.
Paint was all over my freshly painted walls, carpet, eyes, legs and just about everywhere.
I was u-g-l-y!

My baby boy (the grown woolie man) knew I had a case of  the blues and crud.
So he sent me these.
God is good.
This rose is over a week old and still beautiful.

Father above I thank you for the many blessings
 in my life.
Help me to be a blessing to just one person today.

I would rather have roses on my table than diamonds around my neck.

And I think to myself what a beautiful world...

What a perfect day to air out your quilts,
sing a song and thank Him for
just plain everything.
Especially for a beautiful day filled with sunshine.

I recently heard a story of a ladies husband who suffered from terrible anxiety.
(Who doesn't right?)
Whenever the worry and anxiety started sneaking in he began thanking God for all the blessings
in his life.
Over and over..
Soon the anxieties drifted away.
What a great idea..

Woolie Springtime Joy
to you Friends.

Father above we thank you for the many blessings in our lives.

Give all your worries and cares to God,
for he cares about you.

Woolie Love

I scored wool.
And its all I can think about.
Wool, wool, wool!
But it will stay in this little pile in my sewing nest.
Until all my painting is done.

In the meantime I will dream of woolie eggs and strawberries.
And this..
A dear little patchwork quilt covered in woolie hens.

The spool of thread asked the needle,
How ya doin pal?
Ever the wise guy, the needle replied:
Sew sew :0)

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Top of the Morning to you Friends.
I'm only a splash of Irish,but who doesn't like
St.Patrick's Day?
I would love to visit Ireland.

I didn't have any cool St. Patrick's Day photos, but to me St.Patrick's Day means Spring is very near.
So I thought I'd post a photo of what I wish was growing and green in my garden.
We just cant seem to shake winter.
Snow is falling here in Pa. again.
Thankfully Spring temps will be back tomorrow.

Woolie O'Blessings

May God give you;
For every storm a rainbow,
For every care a promise,
And a blessing in each trial,
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh a sweet song and a answer to
each prayer.-
